gentlemen of bacongo
some remarkable photography of dandies in the congo here, i'm reminded of those black and white pictures of british teddy boys in the north of england and so on, the way their immaculate tailoring is at odds with the deprived surroundings, quite extraordinary.

Fur Hags
I was so outraged by the graffiti scrawled on MKA's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that to put a stop to this dehumanizing cruelty I founded a non-profit charity called SPAMKAP: Society for the Protection of Ashley and Mary Kate from Peta. Of course, we don't *know* it was them... but whoever it was, if I'd caught them doing it I would've killed and flayed them on sight and swaggered along the boulevard with their skin wrapped round my neck just to prove a point. How can we learn to respect the rights of animals if we can't respect each other, folks? So please, don't hate on MKA for being fabulous. Or you'll have SPAMKAP to answer to.

Crash!
Lara Stone's latest editorial in Paris Vogue is shocking for two reasons. Firstly because she hasn't got her tits out. Secondly because it merges all our old favourite themes of bondage, vampirism and carcrash fetishism into one subtle and artful package that would make Nan Golding slash her wrists with a smashed camera lens while screaming, "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT? WHY!" Oh yeah and it glamourizes smoking as a direct backlash to the anti-smoking propaganda we are subjected to if not constantly then certainly on a daily basis, which is probably the most controversial thing about it.
